Job summary

All Faiths Funeral Services - North Austin in Austin, TX is seeking a Part-Time Funeral Services Assistant to work under the supervision of a licensed professional. You will help arrange memorial services, coordinate with families, clergy, and staff, and assist with transport and preparation of the deceased.

The role emphasizes empathy, attention to detail, and strong communication. Candidates should be enrolled in Mortuary School and hold a valid Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience preferred.
• Active attendance or enrollment in a Mortuary School/Program required.
• Ability to pass applicable Board exams.
• Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist Funeral Director with client families to arrange and carry out all services.
• Present merchandising and service options to clients and families.
• Obtain information needed for obituaries, death certificates, and permits.
• Plan and schedule visitations and services with clergy and others.
• Assist in preparation of the deceased under supervision.
• Coordinate transportation and shipment of remains as needed.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the grounds and facility.
