Job summary

Palmer Mortuary in Seguin, TX is seeking a part-time Funeral Assistant / Attendant to support funeral directors and assist with services, transportation, and administrative tasks. You will greet families, handle flowers, prepare spaces, and help with visits and memorials.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, a valid Texas driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull 200 lbs, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Able to use a computer and type.
• Proficient in MS Office suite and willing to learn other software.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and pull/push 200 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Assists funeral directors and supports funeral, memorial, and related services.
• Perform administrative tasks and answer phones.
• Assist with removals, dressing, casketing, and transportation as needed.
• Greet families, provide information, and support during services.
• Drive company vehicles for services and family transportation.
