Job summary

Windsor is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the Buyer in vendor communication, negotiation, style selection, and inventory management. You will coordinate on order processes, partner with Logistics, and help shape Windsor's buying philosophy.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and a proactive mindset to drive on-order performance and timely reorders. Growth paths include Planning and Buying roles within Windsor.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in the fashion industry.
• Prior clerical or Assistant Buyer experience within a fashion retail chain.
• Degree in Fashion, Management, or a related field, such as Design, Logistics, Textiles, Supply Chain, or Merchandising.
• Strong culture fit with an understanding of the Windsor customer and brand.
• Creative, open-minded, flexible, and willing to take initiative.
• Positive, respectful, and self-motivated attitude.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Attends vendor appointments and pull product to review with buyer.
• Develop and maintain a system for organizing samples.
• Request all style information necessary for making business decisions.
• Write orders with Buyer approval.
• Communicate with vendors regarding TOP samples, PP samples or fit samples as necessary.
• Walk DC daily.
• Review Selling Report and suggest reorders.
• Create Excel and BI reports as necessary.
• Print on order report daily to track purchase orders that have missed delivery.
• Updates trend boards for upcoming months.
• Attends Business Review Meetings.
• Prepare Canva presentation for future on order meetings.
• Attends concept meeting and takes pictures if necessary.
• Review merchandise that is in #97 to determine what will be sent to vendor and what will be sent to #94.
• Respond to emails within 1 business day.
• Assists AP with PO invoices or any issues.
