Job summary

Roadrunner is seeking an Jr. Application Engineer to help maintain third-party applications across the organization, ensuring secure and accessible systems in a hybrid Downers Grove, IL environment.

You will work with experienced technology professionals to resolve issues, improve documentation and user adoption, support system governance and security, and help create a seamless experience for application users while growing in enterprise application management and IT operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IT or related field; equivalent IT work experience considered.
• 0–2 years of experience supporting software applications, systems administration, or related technology functions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily administration and maintenance of third-party applications used across the organization.
• Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolutions with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Monitor application performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and user experience.
• Assist in governance and security via access controls and reviews.
• Develop and update documentation and training materials.
