Job Title: Sr. Desktop Support Engineer

Location: Elk Grove Village, IL (Need Locals only)

Duration: 8+ Months

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced senior level engineer with enterprise expertise in supporting line of business desktop application profiles. The role involves designing complete end user experience, coordinating user acceptance testing, documenting and supporting the deployment of application profiles, and providing architecture, engineering and operational direction and support of desktop infrastructure in a large organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience providing architecture, engineering and operational direction and support of desktop infrastructure in a large organization
• Previous airline experience is ideal
• Broad infrastructure technology concepts around software, hardware, networking, applications, end user interfaces, virtualization, business continuity and total cost of ownership
• Excellent technical knowledge and aptitude in the following areas: Active Directory, SCCM 2012, GPOs, Windows 7, Windows 10, Project
• Experience engineering a complete end user experience, coordinating user acceptance testing, documenting and supporting the deployment of application profiles

Responsibilities

• Performs highly complex application programming/systems development and support
• Performs highly complex configuration of business rules and technical parameters of software products
• Review business requirements and develop application design documentation
• Build technical components (Maximo objects, TRM Rules, Java extensions, etc) based on detailed design
• Perform unit testing of components along with completing necessary documentation
• Support product test, user acceptance test, etc as a member of the fix-it team
• Employ consistent measurement techniques
• Include testing in project plans and establish controls to require adherence to test plans
• Manage interrelationships among various projects or work objectives

Qualifications

Role requires deep knowledge of desktop support and enterprise application environment, combined with technical and analytical skills to support development life cycle and test processes. Must be a self‑starter with strong communication skills and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
