Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Drug & Alcohol Case Management Specialist Trainee to learn the full scope of case management through guided training and supervised practice. You will perform duties such as assessment techniques, care-level determination, service authorization, and client orientation under supervision.

The position runs 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours work. Telework is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 18 credits in related fields as required
• Equivalent combination of experience and training
• Candidate may be within 3 months of graduating to be considered

Responsibilities

• Assessment training to gather information and identify service needs
• Assist in determining the correct level of care based on guidelines
• Review funding options and recommend appropriate services
• Guide clients through program procedures and treatment process
• Develop and adjust client service plans from assessment results
• Connect clients with available drug, alcohol, and ancillary services
