DIG is seeking a motivated team member for a role in its scratch-based kitchen in the Bethesda area. The position offers $17–$19/hour plus $2–$3/hour in tips and additional benefits. You will learn culinary skills across multiple kitchen stations, grow leadership abilities, and contribute to a mission-driven team focused on real, good food.

Qualifications

• A passion for real, good food and a desire to learn culinary practices and skills.
• The ability to demonstrate and execute a strong work ethic.
• Ability to perform physical requirements, including lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Team-oriented focus and desire to contribute to restaurant's success.

Responsabilités

• Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, grains etc using recipes as a guide and taste buds for validation.
• Gain exposure to different stations within the DIG kitchen including garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge and delivery/packout.
• Speak to guests about current menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients to create a scratch-made marketbowl.
• Support the team during peak and off-peak service by pitching in wherever necessary.
• Move and multi-task in the kitchen; physical requirements may apply with or without accommodations.
• Maintain DIG’s food safety standards and keep the A grade.
• Demonstrate professionalism and uphold anti-discrimination policies.
• Contribute to the mission of rebuilding the food system.
