Sun Auto Tire & Service – Pride Auto Care in Longmont, CO is hiring a Junior Automotive Technician. You will perform inspections, routine maintenance, and basic-to-intermediate repairs while sharpening diagnostic skills with experienced techs.

The role offers training, hands-on development, and opportunities to advance toward Automotive Technician, Senior Technician, Lead Technician and more. A supportive team and strong safety standards are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of automotive shop experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to follow procedures, torque specs, and safety standards.
• Willingness to ask for help, accept coaching, and escalate concerns when needed.
• Basic proficiency with shop tech and documentation tools.
• Own basic tools required to perform role duties.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days if required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-point and digital vehicle inspections with accuracy.
• Complete maintenance and entry-level repairs (oil, filters, tires, brakes).
• Handle tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and basic alignments.
• Do basic diagnostics with guidance and escalate complex issues.
• Follow repair procedures and post-repair checks; verify results.
• Assist with state safety/ emissions inspections where permitted.
