Job summary

Anthropologie is seeking an Apparel Buying Intern for the Summer program at our Philadelphia home office. You will support the daily operations within designated buying areas and help manage the merchandise flow alongside buyers and cross-functional teams.

Open to rising seniors, this internship offers exposure to distribution, design, and production, with hands-on learning and potential for future full-time opportunities. Program dates run from 6/7 to 8/13, in Philadelphia, PA.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in fashion and product lifecycle; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Open packages and distribute to the appropriate Buyer for review.
• Organize sample areas and manage sample setup.
• Coordinate samples for all style-outs and meetings.
• Request appropriate number of samples for web turnover and previews.
• Assist Buyer in vendor communication and follow-ups.
• Check mail and deliver twice daily.
• Open mail and distribute to Assistant Buyer for review.
• Drop inter-office mail in mailroom.
• Respond to emails promptly and in an orderly fashion.
• Take digital photos of all items.
• Maintain picture packs.
• Photograph all style-outs.
• Print department classes on the combined web velocity for the Buyer and Associate Buyer.
• Pass samples to Product Coordination with completed tags and product information sheets weekly.
• Contact vendors with feedback after opening samples.
• Answer shipping inquiries.
• Set up new vendors as needed.
