Job summary

Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions is seeking a Facility Manager for our Pasco, WA terminal to lead day-to-day operations and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes personnel management, maintenance, and budget oversight to drive reliability and cost-effective performance.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of asphalt terminal experience, a relevant degree, strong communication skills, and the ability to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Business.
• 3–5 years' experience in asphalt terminal operations or chemical processing.
• Proven leadership and personnel development.
• Safety and environmental compliance reporting experience.
• Strong communication with suppliers, peers, customers and agencies.
• Solid technical and analytical skills; problem solving ability.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; local software.
• TWIC card or ability to obtain; valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work long hours, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide enthusiastic leadership and development for facility staff.
• Manage administrative duties, records, schedules, and hiring/training.
• Maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Oversee inventory control and manufacturing operations for cost efficiency.
• Direct incoming product receipts, transfers, and shipments.
• Ensure product quality with technical coordination and testing.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and expansion projects.
• Develop safety and environmental programs and regulatory compliance.
• Manage terminal budgets and local purchasing; cost control.
• Ensure compliance with trucking, rail, and marine regulations.
