Job summary

Preferred Materials – Asphalt Region, part of CRH Florida Division, seeks skilled asphalt paving machine operators to support roadway projects across Florida. You will work with a team delivering quality asphalt pavements, while maintaining safety and productivity on-site.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related asphalt/road construction experience. Shift differential may apply, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement within CRH.

This is a highly skilled position involving the control and operation of theasphalt paving machine.

Requirements:

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Control material taken into the paver and the depths of material distributed through the machine.
• Thorough understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving.
• The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related asphalt and road construction experience.
