Job summary

CRH Americas is seeking an Asphalt Roller Operator for its Preferred Materials – Asphalt Division in Florida. The role involves controlling and operating the asphalt roller to ensure smooth material transfer from the paver, following paving depths and patterns, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of asphalt/road construction experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety protocols.
• Assist with prep work and follow project specifications.

This is a highly skilled position involving the control and operation of the asphalt roller machine.

Requirements

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently by following patterns to smooth material from paver to proper depths.
• Thorough understanding of all aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving.
• The operator is responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to two years related asphalt and road construction experience.
