Job summary

Branscome is seeking a Roller Operator to support our Paving department in Richmond, Virginia. You will operate a self-propelled roller, perform daily equipment checks, and ensure safety and quality on hot mix asphalt projects.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and previous heavy highway construction experience is preferred. Overtime is required, and Branscome provides competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Previous heavy highway construction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of compacting procedures dealing with different asphalt mixes.

Responsibilities

• Operate a self-propelled roller with steel drums or solid rubber wheels for compacting hot mix asphalt.
• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Ride on the platform of the machine and control movement.
• Perform daily equipment checks (hydraulic fluid, greasing, oil levels).
• Use hand tools as needed and perform other duties assigned.
