Job summary

APAC Atlantic, Inc. Asheville Division seeks a Laboratory Technician to sample asphalt products and ensure compliance with specifications. You will coordinate with management, plant personnel and DOT inspectors to obtain necessary samples and mix designs.

Responsibilities include performing quality control tests in lab or roadway, recording results, and maintaining safety and documentation. DOT certifications are required or pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; must interpret instructions in English.
• Must obtain and maintain DOT certifications required to test asphalt per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Sample asphalt products to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Coordinate daily/weekly scheduling with APAC management, plant personnel and crewmembers and DOT inspectors.
• Perform Asphalt Quality Control Tests in lab or on roadway and record results.
