Job summary

APAC Atlantic, Inc. in Franklin, NC, seeks a Lab Technician to sample asphalt products and ensure compliance with specifications. You will coordinate sampling activities with management, plant personnel, crewmembers, and DOT inspectors to obtain samples and support mix designs.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with ability to interpret instructions in English.
• Must obtain and maintain DOT certifications required to test asphalt as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Sample asphalt product to ensure it meets required specifications.
• Coordinate daily/weekly sampling with APAC management, plant personnel, crewmembers, and DOT inspectors.
• Perform Asphalt Quality Control tests in lab or roadway and compile test data.
• Maintain test results database and ensure safe work environment.
