Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation in Orlando, FL is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to perform inspections, tests, and reporting to ensure asphalt and material quality meets specifications.

You will cut core samples, test aggregate and asphalt, maintain safety, and work with QC staff. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel between facilities are required. The company offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Control Technician with an asphalt plant.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Flexible schedule and ability to travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Safety policies and report incidents to uphold our Safety value.
• Provide test results and reports to QC Manager and staff.
• Enforce quality control and safety policies on all work aspects.
• Cut core samples from roadway and test promptly.
• Conduct tests on aggregate and asphalt.
• Perform calculations to verify physical and volumetric properties.
• Communicate daily with QC Technician/Manager and Roadway Technician.
• Calculate pay factors and tonnage totals on daily lab reports.
