Job summary

Lone Star Paving is seeking a Pelican Plant C Operator to support plant, maintenance, and management teams. The role requires experience with asphalt processing, loading, and safety compliance, with duties including loading trucks, operating a forklift, and conducting facility rounds.

Ideal candidates will handle data entry on an iPad, climb to heights, and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality standards across Texas operations.

Qualifications

• Industrial experience in asphalt/industrial setting.
• Technical skills with equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Train in facility processes and SOPs.
• Load/unload tank trucks carrying liquid asphalt.
• Gauge storage tanks up to 40 ft height.
• Perform facility rounds and record data on an iPad.
• Operate sit-down forklift and unload shipping containers.
• Handle barge loading/unloading.
• Participate in safety meetings and training.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE guidelines.
• Collaborate with management to address issues.
• Keep area tidy and equipment secured daily.
• Support company initiatives to ensure client loyalty.
