Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates in Old Bridge, NJ is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to safely operate our asphalt plant in the East Region and to perform routine and preventative maintenance ensuring continuous efficient production.

Day-to-day duties include promoting safety, running asphalt operations, inspections, and clear communication with plant staff, with opportunities for professional development through on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Positive, Team-based attitude
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet
• Ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• Basic computer, working with hands, welding

Responsibilities

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Day to day operations of manufacturing asphalt
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
