Job summary

Branscome is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator in Hampton, VA to batch, crush and/or segregate materials for asphalt paving projects. You will assist with assembling, maintaining, repairing, and disassembling plant equipment as needed, while monitoring gauges and equipment performance.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, ability to operate plant controls, and a valid driver’s license; travel between plants is expected. Overtime and safety adherence are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous construction/manufacturing/plant operator experience preferred.
• Able to operate and troubleshoot plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt plant to batch, crush and/or segregate materials.
• Assist with assembling, maintaining and repairing plant equipment.
• Heat, dry, mix ingredients and control weighing and feeding.
• Observe gauges and ensure conformity with specifications.
• Travel to and between plant sites; perform site safety duties.
