Job summary

Branscome is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator in Suffolk, VA to batch, crush and segregate materials for asphalt paving projects. You will assist with assembling, adjusting, maintaining, and repairing plant equipment, while ensuring adherence to safety policies on site.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, controlling feeds, and performing basic maintenance. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with prior construction/manufacturing/plant operator experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Operate asphalt plant to batch, crush and segregate materials.
• Assist with assembling, adjusting, maintaining and repairing plant equipment.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Move controls to heat, dry, mix ingredients for asphalt materials.
• Control weighing, feeding, crushing and sifting machinery.
• Observe gauges and operation to meet specifications.
• Basic computer use in plant operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments.
