Russell Standard’s Plant Operator role supports daily production in an asphalt emulsions manufacturing plant. The position requires teamwork, basic mechanical skills, and the ability to operate and maintain plant equipment in outdoor conditions, often under variable weather. Safety and accuracy in handling materials are essential.

The job emphasizes lifting, manual dexterity, and the ability to work overtime as needed in a team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong math and reading skills with the ability to understand technical manuals.
• Two years of production/maintenance experience OR oil and gas experience OR completion of mechanical/industrial trade school.
• Aptitude for learning new tasks and skills.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes valves for product transfers.
• Performs general preventative maintenance of pump and valve systems.
• Operates equipment in the plant.
• Inspects tanks periodically.
• Troubleshoots mechanics of plant systems.
• Weighs trucks, pre- and post-loading.
• Loads emulsion trucks.
• Follows all safety policies and practices.
• All other duties as assigned.
