Job summary

AJ Construction INC is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator in Jackson, MS. You will work in a team to operate the asphalt plant, conduct daily inspections, and maintain logs while following Foreman directions and safety procedures.

The role requires teamwork, basic computer knowledge, and a willingness to train others. Prior asphalt paving experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or GED as a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment
• Be able to run the asphalt plant ticket system for extended periods of time
• Perform daily inspections of plant
• Be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and other team members
• Perform general labor duties when necessary
• Follow directions of the Foreman
• Properly follow all company policies
• Maintain daily, environmental and maintenance logs
• Loading and unloading of asphalt carriers
• Receiving inbound materials
• Be willing to train others
