Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to keep asphalt production machinery running safely and efficiently. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair drum dryers, conveyors, and emission controls, and perform preventative maintenance in a demanding industrial environment.

The role emphasizes welding, lubrication, and safe work practices, with daily logs, OSHA compliance, and teamwork with the Plant Manager to minimize downtime and maintain environmental and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
• 1+ years of experience in Heavy-Duty Industrial Maintenance, preferably asphalt.
• Knowledge of equipment repair concepts and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices.
• Detail oriented with strong problem-solving and time management.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions in asphalt plant equipment.
• Maximize performance by repairing and performing preventative maintenance.
• Repair or replace defective parts such as gearboxes, bearings, shafts, pulleys.
• Monitor plant performance and adjust components to maximize yield.
• Perform welding (Arc/MIG/TIG) and torch cutting as needed.
• Conduct daily OSHA pre-shift inspections and maintain logs.
