Job summary

Silver Star Construction Co. Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service asphalt plant equipment in Oklahoma City. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspect belts, pumps, screens, and wear parts, and assist with repairs to keep plant operations efficient.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, operate equipment to test repairs, and fabricate parts as needed. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential in this outdoor, industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude to understand and work on industrial plant machinery and systems.
• Troubleshooting skills to identify problems, causes, and repair options.
• Welding, torch cutting, grinding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to operate various types of industrial and plant equipment.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and hazards.
• Clear communication and teamwork with supervisors and peers.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on asphalt plant equipment.
• Inspect and replace components like belts, screens, wear parts, pumps, and other parts.
• Operate plant machinery to test equipment after maintenance or repairs.
• Safely operate forklifts, manlifts, and other equipment as required.
• Weld, cut, grind and fabricate parts to repair or modify plant components.
• Follow safety policies and document maintenance activities and issues.
