Asphalt Plant Service Technician

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused technician to support the maintenance and operation of our asphalt plants. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring that our plants operate safely and efficiently with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of asphalt plant equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, belt adjustments, filter changes, and component replacements
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely corrective actions to minimize downtime
• Maintain burners and fuel systems, including tuning and cleaning for optimal performance
• Repair or replace motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, and other critical components
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings
• Work closely with plant operators and management to identify maintenance needs and improvement opportunities
• Assist with plant upgrades, modifications, and installation of new equipment
• Perform general welding and fabrication as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work conditions: Extreme weather conditions are expected. Willingness to work varied and extended hours up to 7 days a week when needed. Travel required.
