Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in asphalt plant repairs is required.
• Must have a Class B CDL preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain asphalt plant equipment for optimal performance.
• Weld and repair broken parts and structural members as needed.
• Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical issues in plant operations.

Skills

Mechanical knowledge of asphalt plant production

Welding skills (stick welding)

Ability to analyze malfunctions

Physical stamina (lifting, walking, kneeling)

Job description

This is a skilled position dealing with the maintenance of an Asphalt Plant equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Thorough mechanical knowledge of asphalt plant production and related equipment.
• Examine parts for damage or excessive wear.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in Asphalt plant repairs.
• Analyze malfunctions and repairs.
• Weld broken parts and structural members and other items as necessary using stick welding processes.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Lubricate and clean parts.
• Work with plumbing and other functions of the plants.
• The job duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.
• Must have Class B CDL preferred, not required.

Requirements:

• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds, walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel, and be capable of passing required physical examination.
• Maintain reliable attendance, meeting company standards, and maintain a positive attitude.
