Job summary

RADISE International seeks an Asphalt Plant Inspector to supervise on-site asphalt production in West Palm Beach, FL. You will perform QC/QA tests, verify mix designs, and document findings to FDOT requirements, working with plant operators and project personnel.

The role requires FDOT familiarity, CTQP Asphalt Plant Level II or ability to obtain certification, and willingness to work nights or weekends as needed; valid driver's license and travel to Florida plant sites are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate/technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' asphalt inspection or materials testing experience, FDOT projects preferred.
• Familiarity with AASHTO/ASTM standards and FDOT specs.
• Proficient in Excel and FDOT recordkeeping software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple FL plant sites.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor asphalt plant operations to ensure FDOT standards compliance.
• Perform QC/QA tests per FDOT guidelines including verification of mix designs.
• Collect and test asphalt materials using standardized procedures.
• Verify calibration of plant equipment and use of approved materials.
• Ensure compliance with FDOT sampling, testing and reporting requirements (LIMS, Daily Reports).
• Document inspection results and deviations; maintain FDOT records.
• Coordinate with FDOT personnel, contractors, and engineers to resolve issues.
• Conduct random sampling and field testing per FDOT process.
• Monitor environmental and safety compliance.
• Maintain familiarity with current FDOT Standard Specifications.
