Job summary

Lone Star Paving, a paving contractor in the Central Texas region, is seeking an Asphalt Heavy Equipment Operator to join our asphalt team. You will work with the crew foreman and operate paving machines, with a focus on safety and efficiency in asphalt operations.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years in asphalt and 1-2 years operating paving equipment, plus a strong teamwork ethic. Overtime, outdoor work, and travel across Texas are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in the asphalt industry.
• 1-2 years of experience operating paving equipment.
• Organized with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Positive, friendly, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work well with others in a team or one-on-one setting.
• Commitment to safety policy and culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt paving equipment and assist crew foreman.
• Perform general laborer duties on asphalt paving, patching, or prep crews.
• Inspect equipment before use and ensure safe operation.
• Maintain safety, and assist with signs, barricades, and traffic control as needed.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and foremen on site.
• Complete duties and assist other crew members as required.
