Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.**What You'll Be Doing*** Operate small equipment and hand tools on a variety of job sites consisting of milling, paving, grading.* Maintains housekeeping of job site and facilities, ensures equipment is in good working order* Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in asphalt paving, typical site work, grading, etc* Properly follow all Company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Manager.* Performs routine inspection and preventative and corrective maintenance on small equipment and hand tools if within abilities; escalates issues that are not repairable or safe.* Routinely assists other members of the crew as needed, including shoveling and cleanup* Fuel, oil and grease to ensure proper function of equipment and complete associated paperwork* Performs other related activities as assigned**What Are We Looking For*** High School Diploma (or equivalency) AND prior relevant job experience* Valid/Clean Driver’s License* Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.* Must have the ability to work a varied schedule of day shift, night shift, and weekends due to construction contracts* Ability to operate and maintain small paving equipment (tamper, roller, skid steer experience preferred)* Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in typical site work, milling, paving, grading* Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions**Conditions of Employment*** Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.**Work Environment*** Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.**What We Offer*** $27.00 per hour base pay.
