Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.**What You'll Be Doing*** Operate excavators, loaders, and dozers safely and efficiently in heavy highway construction environments* Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance* Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines and safety standards* Follow site-specific safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents immediately* Assist with material movement, grading, and site preparation as directed**What Are We Looking For*** High School Diploma (or equivalency) AND prior relevant job experience* CDL license (A or B) with Tanker endorsement is preferred* Valid/Clean Driver’s License* Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.* Must have the ability to work a varied schedule of day shift, night shift, and weekends due to construction contracts* Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment (excavator and loader experience preferred)* Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in typical site work, grading, storm/sanitary/water pipe installation, etc* Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions**Conditions of Employment*** Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.**Work Environment*** Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.**What We Offer*** $36.00 per hour base pay.
