Job summary

MCC, Inc. is a local construction company seeking an Equipment Operator for our asphalt paving crew in Appleton, WI. You will safely operate paving equipment on job sites, coordinate with team, and assist with traffic control and material movement according to project specs.

The role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to work in varying weather and around moving equipment. On-the-job training is provided and a CDL with tanker endorsement is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge in site preparation, excavation, or asphalt paving industry required.
• Communication skills, both verbal and written; including the ability to provide and comprehend clear instructions or directions.
• Reasoning skills; problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to assess and report hazards and work safely to prevent accidents and injuries.
• CDL Class A with tanker endorsement preferred.
• Mechanical capabilities preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, with an understanding of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate paving equipment safely on job sites and around traffic.
• Haul equipment or materials to work locations and support crew as needed.
• Communicate with customers, the public, and team members to ensure project specs.
• Perform manual labor and assist on asphalt prep crews when required.
• Follow safety rules and regulations on every job site.
