MCC, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator - Milling in Appleton, Wisconsin. The role focuses on safely operating milling machines to remove asphalt and load recycled material while coordinating with dump trucks for site removal.

The ideal candidate will have a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, experience in site prep or asphalt paving, and strong communication skills. We offer on-site work with opportunities to work on other equipment and cross-training as needed.

CAREER OPPORTUNITY:

EQUIPMENT OPERATOR - MILLING

APPLETON | WISCONSIN

Equipment operators on our asphalt milling crews are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our milling machines and other job-related equipment. Operators are responsible for managing the machine's controls to safely remove asphalt pavement while simultaneously loading the recycled material into dump trucks for site removal. Additionally, crew members are expected to operate power brooms, skid steers, and other equipment to remove excess materials to ensure sites are well prepared and meet specifications for the next phase of the construction process. Equipment operators should also be able to perform manual labor and traffic control as needed. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate and work as part of a team. Operators must be able to professionally and effectively communicate with customers and the general public and respond to inquiries or assist in problem solving.

Safety is a top priority at MCC, Inc. Equipment Operators must be able to work safely on all job sites around moving equipment and traffic, and in various weather conditions. This included ensuring compliance with all workplace rules and regulations according to company policy, and all governing agencies.

MCC, Inc. is a versatile company that requires employees to cross-train on other duties or work-tasks as assigned, this includes assisting on asphalt prep crews as needed. On-the-job training is provided to ensure all qualified candidates acclimate to MCC, Inc.'s various workplace policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and an acceptable driving record required
• Experience or knowledge in site preparation, excavation, or asphalt paving industry required
• Experience operating milling or other related equipment with a safe operating record preferred
• Communication skills, both verbal and written; including the ability to provide and comprehend clear instructions or directions (both general and technical)
• Reasoning Skills (problem solving and troubleshooting skills)
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to assess and report various hazards and work safely to prevent accidents and injuriesMechanical capabilities as preferred
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, with an understanding of basic math preferred
