Job summary

Lone Star Paving in Austin, Texas is seeking an Asphalt Heavy Equipment Operator to join our asphalt team and work with the crew foreman operating paving machines and related equipment.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years in the asphalt industry, 1–2 years operating paving equipment, and a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and professionalism while working outdoors with potential overtime and travel within Texas.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in the asphalt industry.
• 1–2 years' experience operating paving equipment.
• Organized with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Positive, friendly, and professional.

Responsibilities

• Run, maneuver, and use asphalt paving equipment.
• Assist with patching, prep, and general labor tasks as needed.
• Maintain safety awareness and follow company safety policies.
• Shovel, rake, and handle tools as directed by foreman.
• Inspect and clean equipment before and after shifts.
• Coordinate with crew and assist with traffic control devices.
