Job summary

Durwood Greene Construction is seeking an Asphalt Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Eastern Texas team. You will operate asphalt paving machines, assist the foreman, and help ensure quality workmanship while maintaining safety on busy job sites.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of asphalt industry experience, understands equipment safety, and can work overtime or weekends as required. This full-time role offers competitive pay and benefits in a dynamic, family-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in asphalt operations
• Ability to operate paving machines and related equipment safely
• Promotes and adheres to safety policies on site

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt paving machines and assist crew foreman
• Inspect equipment before and after shifts and report issues
• Maintain safe site practices and coordinate with other workers
• Shovel, rake, and handle tools as needed to support paving tasks
• Keep machine clean and organized at shift end
• Assist with traffic control devices and general labor duties
