Job summary

Allan Myers Inc. is seeking an equipment operator to manage heavy civil construction equipment at various site locations. The role requires safe operation, routine maintenance, and disciplined attention to daily project goals.

You will work closely with field supervision to choose efficient methods for milling and paving tasks while adhering to safety standards. Expect overnight travel as needed and rotating shifts during milling and paving season.

Qualifications

• GED / HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of equipment operating experience.
• Related work experience is a necessity.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Discusses plans and goals for the day’s work with the field manager and determines the best method to complete tasks safely, productively, and on time.
• Performs physical duties associated with safe and productive operation of the equipment.
• Performs equipment maintenance such as cleaning, greasing and checking fluid levels.
• Operates equipment with priority given to safety for all nearby workers.
• Communicates clearly with other crew members to achieve daily goals.
