Job summary

HK Contractors is seeking a Manager of Asphalt Operations to lead asphalt plant and paving operations in the designated region. You will oversee production, quality, crew management, and logistics to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of asphalt plant operations, paving, or construction materials experience.
• 2+ years in leadership or supervisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt production, mix designs, and paving practices.
• Familiarity with safety regulations (MSHA/OSHA) and environmental compliance.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient operation of asphalt plants and paving crews.
• Plan production schedules to meet timelines and customer demand.
• Monitor plant performance, equipment utilization, and downtime.
• Ensure DOT specifications and materials meet quality standards.
• Manage budgets and track KPIs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
