Butler Asphalt in Ohio is seeking dependable, hard-working individuals to join our paving crew. This entry-level opportunity welcomes those new to asphalt and those with prior experience who value safety and teamwork.

You’ll help pave driveways, roads, and parking surfaces, assist with site prep, and learn on-the-job skills from a dedicated crew and foreman. Outdoor work in all weather, with emphasis on quality and safety. We offer room to grow across Ohio communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in asphalt or willingness to learn is welcome.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork on job sites.

Responsabilités

• Operate or assist with asphalt pavers, rollers, and related equipment.
• Assist in installing smooth, durable asphalt surfaces for driveways, roads and parking lots.
• Set up job sites safely and efficiently.
• Assist in grading, drainage setup, and preparing foundations before paving.
• Help ensure paving meets quality standards and project specs.
• Work with a crew and foreman to complete projects on schedule.

Key Skills You’ll Use or Learn:

Paving & Surface Work

• Operate or assist with asphalt pavers, rollers, and other equipment
• Help install smooth, durable asphalt surfaces for driveways, roads, parking lots, and more

Site Prep & Layout

• Set up job sites safely and efficiently
• Assist in grading, drainage setup, and preparing gravel foundations before paving

Attention to Detail

• Help ensure all paving meets quality standards and project specifications

• Work on both residential and commercial jobs—including schools, parks, athletic tracks, and subdivisions

Teamwork & Communication

• Work closely with a crew and foreman to get the job done right

• Follow directions clearly and communicate effectively with others on-site

P hysical Work & Safety

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

• Ability to lift, carry, and work on your feet for long periods
