Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years estimating asphalt, heavy civil or site development projects.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contracts.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills for bids and cost control.
• Excellent communication and multi-bid management capability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for asphalt paving, grading, milling, and site development.
• Review drawings, specs, bids, and contracts to determine scope.
• Perform takeoffs and price labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Develop conceptual, budgetary, and bid estimates.
• Evaluate risks, constructability and value engineering opportunities.
• Analyze crew sizes, production rates and historical costs to improve accuracy.
• Solicit subcontractor and supplier proposals and manage bidding process.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams during bidding.
• Maintain bid docs and meet deadlines; attend pre-bid meetings.
