Position: Asphalt Laborer

Location: 2401 S. Broadway Ave. Moore, OK 73160, USA - Full-Time

Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company, is seeking an Asphalt Laborer to perform a wide range of duties that may change depending on the type of project they are working on and the team members they are working with.

Responsibilities:

• Rake/shovel asphalt in construction area
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot/cold mix
• Maintain a clean job site: pick up tools and equipment and secure job site each day
• Material handling and storage
• May operate a variety of hand and power tools
• May assist with craft workers

Skills:

• Experience with equipment such as bobcat, front end loader, paver, tractor, and screed
• Detail-oriented and team spirit
• Ability to measure work area accurately

Qualifications:

• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time
• Physical ability to bend and crouch
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas
• Must be adaptable to changes in work environment; frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
• Attendance/punctuality: consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent
• Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary
• Must be able to work overtime when required
