Job summary

Taco, Inc. Fall River seeks a Product Engineer – ASME Pressure Vessels to design, analyze, test, and evaluate ASME pressure vessels and related components.

You will support product development, interpret customer specifications, and ensure ASME code compliance while collaborating with design, process, and quality teams. The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering or physics with 3+ years of mechanical design experience, CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), and knowledge of codes (ASME VIII

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 3+ years mechanical design experience.
• Experience with ASME Section VIII, Div I pressure vessels and HVAC components is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and GD&T knowledge.
• Familiarity with design calculations, drawings, bills of materials, and documentation.
• Knowledge of applicable codes (ASME VIII, NBIC, ANSI, CSA, TEMA, IBC, ASCE/SEI).

Responsibilities

• Design ASME pressure vessels using CAD software and ASME code knowledge.
• Perform mechanical analysis for shells, tubes, tanks, and heat exchangers.
• Develop life‑cycle engineering and custom vessel designs per customer specs.
• Collaborate with product managers, sales, and marketing on new products.
• Prepare complete design packets with calculations, drawings, and BOMs.
• Mentor junior engineers and review customer submittals and NCRs/TCNs.
