Job summary

Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Consultant to join our Nuclear Analytical Service team, focusing on elevated-temperature design and creep-fatigue evaluations for advanced reactor applications.

Remote or office-based work arrangements are possible. The role will perform high-temperature structural analyses, creep-fatigue assessments, and develop testing tools for reactor technologies.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Materials Engineering.
• 6–10 years of experience in design engineering for ASME Section III, Division 5.
• Experience with high-temperature materials, creep, fatigue, and creep-fatigue.
• FEA using ANSYS, Abaqus, and Python-based tools.
• Inservice Inspection and License Renewal processes.
• Operational knowledge of Nuclear Plant Systems.
• Experience with US commercial nuclear fleet designs (PWR/BWR) or advanced reactors.
• Familiarity with NRC regulations and business practices.
• Strong written and oral communication skills including presentations.

Responsibilities

• Support ASME Section III, Division 5 stress, fatigue, creep-fatigue, and elevated-temperature evaluations.
• Support nuclear fleet and advanced reactor design, including high-temperature materials & code evaluations.
• Interact with clients to provide engineering solutions, code interpretations, results, and analyses.
• Contribute to proposals for project development and scoping.
• Manage technical projects for industry clients (mid/senior level).
• Develop new leads and project opportunities with clients (mid/senior level).
