Easterseals of New Jersey is seeking a Skills Trainer to support youth with hearing loss in developing soft skills and independent living abilities. This role focuses on Pre-Employment Transition Services, job exploration, and self-advocacy, working closely with families and schools.

The trainer will coordinate with DVR, employers, and agencies to arrange work-based learning, while maintaining accurate documentation and alignment with grant requirements.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Fluent in ASL with knowledge of assistive technology.
• Knowledge of Section 504, ADA, and WIOA preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Able to pass SLCE test within 5 months.

Mansioni

• Deliver Pre-ETS to high school students with hearing loss (ages 14-21).
• Provide services and engage families; conduct intake interviews and assessments.
• Collaborate with DVR counselors, schools, and families on IEP transitions.
• Build relationships with businesses for work-based learning opportunities.
• Organize community events promoting independent living and accessibility.
• Maintain documentation to ensure grant compliance.
