Strategies to Empower People (STEP) is hiring Behavioral Support Staff to provide in-home and community support for adults with physical and developmental disabilities in the Greater Sacramento area. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, behavior management, and community integration, with ASL skills often required.

We offer full-time and part-time positions; compensation ranges from $23 to $28 per hour, with benefits accruing after waiting periods.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma, GED, or Certificate of Completion.
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of qualifying behavioral experience.
• May be required to provide CA Driver License, current auto insurance, and maintain a clear Motor Vehicle Record for positions that require driving.
• ASL skills required (level depending on client served).

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for clients with regular behavioral challenges.
• Assist with hygiene, meal preparation, and daily living activities.
• Develop relationships in the community and support money management.
• Manage behaviors and support personal growth and health management.
