Job summary

Strategies to Empower People (STEP) is seeking a full-time Behavioral Support Staff member to provide in-home and community support for adults with various disabilities in the Greater Sacramento area. You will work with individuals who may exhibit behavioral challenges and help them grow independence while supporting their behavioral needs.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience, are 18+, and are prepared to assist with daily living activities and community

Qualifications

Must be 18+ with a high school diploma, GED, or Certificate of Completion.
Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of qualifying behavioral experience.
May be required to provide CA Driver License, current auto insurance, and maintain a clear MVR.

Responsibilities

Assist with hygiene tasks (showering, toileting, bathing, etc.).
Provide food preparation and meal assistance.
Help clients develop relationships in their community.
Assist with money management.
Support personal growth and health management.
Support behavior management and de-escalation.
