Job summary

Avamere in Gresham, OR is seeking a full-time Housekeeper. You will maintain a clean, safe environment across resident rooms and common areas, performing tasks from dusting to laundry under supervision.

The role emphasizes infection control and cooperation with nursing staff to support independent living, assisted living, and memory care residents. Ideal candidates are comfortable in a Deaf and DeafBlind community setting and may be proficient in ASL or willing to learn.

Qualifications

• Experience with various cleaning methods and equipment.
• Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ability to communicate with staff and follow instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, and surfaces in resident areas daily.
• Clean bathrooms, remove waste, and maintain laundry routines.
• Operate washers and dryers and ensure proper sanitation.
• Coordinate isolation cleaning with nursing care when residents leave isolation rooms.
