Job summary

Avamere Living is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for Avamere at Chestnut Lane in Gresham, OR. This full-time position offers a Sunday–Thursday shift with wages between $19.10 and $24.91 per hour, DOE, and an attendance bonus structure for full- and part-time staff.

The role supports independent living, assisted living, and memory care environments, performing duties from dusting and mopping to laundry and linen changes. A compassionate approach to seniors and ASL learning are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning methods and sanitation practices.
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with staff.
• Willingness to learn ASL or use basic sign language.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping tasks in resident rooms and common areas.
• Clean bathrooms, floors, windows, and surfaces to maintain sanitation.
• Collect and launder linens; operate washers and dryers per protocols.
• Ensure infection control and safety practices are followed.
• Support isolation cleaning and terminal cleanings as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for residents and staff.
