Job summary

AMN Healthcare Language Services is seeking qualified InPerson Interpreters to provide on-site ASL interpretation in Independence, MO for diverse medical settings. This freelance role offers flexible scheduling and access to many sessions via the AMN IPI App.

Qualified interpreters should hold NAD level 4 or higher and maintain HIPAA compliance, with experience in medical contexts and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Must hold NAD level 4 or higher certification.
• Knowledge of NAD/RID Code of Conduct and Deaf Culture ethics.
• HIPAA Training for Business Associates certificate within the last year.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective onsite interpreting service for consumers.
• Maintain professional appearance and punctuality for shifts.
• Demonstrate adaptability to new technologies.
• Adhere to interpreter ethical standards in medical contexts.
• Respect LEP clients, culture, dialects and medical preferences.
• Join AMN Healthcare Language Services as independent contractor.
