A master's degree in ASL or related field is required, with preference for native or near-native ASL proficiency. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate ASL courses, contribute to the ASL Interpreting Minor, and advise students.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in American Sign Language instruction, interpreting, Deaf Studies, or closely related field.
• Preference for native or near-native ASL proficiency.
• Postsecondary teaching experience and state/national interpreter certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in the ASL Interpreting Minor program on the Oxford campus.
• Prepare students to communicate effectively with ASL users and engage professionally in interpreting settings.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program activities, advise and mentor students, participate in departmental and university service.
