Qualifications

• High School required.

• ASL certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interprets (spoken language) for patients, families and companions.
• Acts as a liaison between patient/family/companions and organization by interpreting, explaining and navigating policies and procedures.
• Participates in departmental QI process related to interpreter services and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with Propio device management.
• Round on all patients with a language other than English.
• Audit charts for Propio compliance and provide staff education.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by Director of Patient Experience.

Assists in overseeing the Language Assistance Program, including interpretation and translation device management, staff education and ensuring patients and families with varying preferred languages are satisfied with the care and communication being provided. **Essential Functions*** 1.
