Job summary

Criterion Child Enrichment is seeking an in-person interpreter to support families and early intervention staff in Massachusetts. You will translate and facilitate direct communication during intake, evaluation and home visits.

The role requires fluency in English and the target language, reliable transportation, and ability to schedule visits; interpreting experience is preferred. Compensation is hourly at $25–$30.

Qualifications

• Verbal fluency in English and the language of the population served.
• Interpreting experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for in-person interpreting.
• Understanding of the interpreter's role in promoting direct communication between provider and parent/caregiver.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpreting for families.
• Facilitate communication between parents/caregivers and early intervention staff.
• Schedule visits for early intervention staff.
• Provide interpreting services for intake, evaluation and home visits.
